Gift giving (omiyage)

“Omiyage” and gift-giving are an important part of Japanese culture. Omiyage are souvenirs that you buy for friends and colleagues when you go on a business trip or vacation. In this lesson, you will learn how to give Omiyage. The key phrase to learn from this simulation is “tsumaranai mono desu ga” which means “this is nothing special.” This is a way to be polite and indicate your humbleness.
